The Yamaha R1/R6 and Honda CBR600RR front axles are retained with a solid M14 bolt. Our fork slider kits 150-0095-001 and 150-0122-001 require that bolt to be drilled and tapped with M6 threads to attach the slider on the bolt side. We provide a predrilled bolt for those that do not want deal with tapping their original bolt.
This is a factory bolt that we drill and tap, not an "adapter" of possibly lower specification than the OEM part. Why second-guess the factory on the part that holds your front wheel on when you can use the original as the factory designed?
